Books for People

Beginning in 2013, I released four short E-Books in plain English, to help you understand the basic options of estate planning.  Click on any book cover to learn more about the book and how to purchase them from Amazon. Currently these are kindle format. Pet Trusts is in paperback format.

Wills, Probate and Executors: Not All Evil

Wills are instructions about who will receive your property after you pass away.
The probate court has authority to appoint executors and administrators to carry out the instructions in your will.  The court can also settle disputes.

The executor is the person(s) you nominate to carry out the instructions in your will.

Powers of Attorney: Health Care and Property

Powers of attorney are sets of instructions about your care if you lose the ability to make your own decisions.

A health care power of attorney includes decisions about your medical care, food, clothing and housing.

A property power of attorney controls the management of your money and other valuables.

In January of 2016, this book was updated to reflect 2016 changes to the law.
